Amy from Keeping Up With The Schultz Family!

I am back to share another day of traditions for Diane's week of Coexist.

This time I am going to stick with my theme and share another fun family tradition I do with my family at Christmas time.
Every year since I can remember my Mother would buy and exchange ornaments with my family members.
When it came time for me to move out of the house. My mother began to do this tradition with me. At first I did not really have many ornaments. So I got my Mothers hand painted ceramic ornaments. I was so honored to have them because she had painted them. I was so happy to get them and the other ornaments she gave to me.

My collection started out with getting a series of Wizard of Oz Ornaments.
My Mom really likes the Hallmark ornaments and that is were most of ours come from now. We wait for the "Dream Book" to come out. It is filled with tons of ornaments and we find the ones we like and then off we go to Hallmark.
This year my Mom is getting this ornament from me.
I got this one from her...
It reminds me of Alyce and I reading together....
My daughter Alyce has already has a little tree filled with some ornaments. Her Nana
(My Mom)is giving her this one to add to her collection...
I know that when I put each of my ornaments up on my Christmas tree they will have a special meaning and story behind them. I can't wait to carry this tradition on with Alyce and any of my other children I may have.
Thanks again Diane for asking me to share my family tradition with you and your readers. I hope all of you enjoy this and may even try it your home.

OMG, that's so much like what we do. Everyone of my ornaments have some great meaning for me.
I like picking out ornaments for the meaning too! :)
Ditto! My mom started it by giving us all special ornaments each year! Now they all have special meanings! I have yet to pick out hers for this year. Must go look at Hallmark!!
Thanks
