I don't know who's running that blog, but they're not doing their homework.
The Heidelberg Project is an outdoor art environment/social art project which serves as a glimmer of hope amongst the deteriorating surroundings of Detroit. The mastermind behind it is artist Tyree Guyton, who began the project in 1986.
And if you're one of those who don't consider this art, but rather an eyesore, then a glimpse at what most of the rest of Detroit looks like might change your mind...
Ya gotta find beauty where it exists.
So, yay for the Heidelberg Project!
And phooey on Fail Blog!

10 of the smartest people I know said...:
Don't they verify their sources? Fools! Fail fools!
Thank you for sharing this my friend. The get an F from the teacher LOL.
Ha! I always wondered what to do with that bag of stuffed critters in my garage - I haven't the heart to toss them - but they are just clutter & dust collectors...I loved the art!
It might be an eyesore to most but in relation to so many parts of Detroit it's an enjoyable distraction.
It's eye-catching in a kitschy kind of way. Sure, this might not work in your average suburban subdivision, but in blighted Detroit, it's a big improvement.
Thanks for shareing I never heard of it.. very cool..
I hadn't heard of this either and it rocks!! What a cool thing to do!!
Hugs and Merry Christmas

Good for you to set people straight. People are always so quick to judge. Just another thing wrong with this world.
